Shilpa Anand (born Shilpa Shivanand on 10 December 1982, Hindi: शिल्पा आनन्द, Kannada : ಶಿಲ್ಪ ಆನಂದ್ ), is an Indian Model, television and movie actress. She is the younger sister of Sakshi Shivanand, a popular actress from Karnataka.

Shilpa Anand was born in South Africa, and went to school there. After completing her education, she moved to India along with her family and then she started her acting career in Mumbai. She
Before her first movie, Shilpa did many adverts on television with many famous Bollywood actors such as Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan etc.
She got her first lead role in the Bollywood film Iqaar By Chance as Rashmi Mehra in 2006. She rose to stardom when she starred in the television series Dill Mill Gaye, in which she played the protagonist of Dr. Riddhima Gupta which made her a popular face of the TV world. She was nominated at several Awards ceremonies in 'Best Actress' category for her role in the show such as 'New Talent Awards in 2008'. She won the award alongside Karan Singh Grover for the best on-screen couple in August 2008. Her contract with the production house ended in June 2008 and this consequenced her leaving the show and her role of Dr. Riddhima Gupta.[1]
In March 2010, Shilpa did interview with Star News where she directly replied to her fans on Facebook and talked about her future career. There were talks in March 2010 that Shilpa would be returning to Dill Mill Gayye,.[2] Shilpa returned to Dill Mill Gayye in June 2010. After two years of absence and producer's insistence she signed a contract for her return in the show in June 2010. The show ended on Oct 29, 2010.[3]
Shilpa Anand who gained popularity with her role Dr Riddhima Gupta in Star One’s show Dill Mill Gayye is all set to act in a movie titled Alert-24/7. She will share screen space with none other than Sanjay Dutt.which also features Ruslaan Mumtaz and Raveena Tandon.She is playing an investigative journalist.She says,I am an outgoing journalist who doesnt have any fears and can approach anyone with her questions.I will be seen opposite Ruslaan Mumtaz.The movie is a take on corruption in politics.
